JEFFCOOL® P150 is an inhibited, propylene glycol–based industrial coolant and heat transfer fluid engineered for reliable performance in closed-loop heating and cooling systems. It is supplied as a 100% concentrate and should be diluted with water to achieve a concentration between 30% and 60% by volume, depending on the desired freeze point and system requirements.
The inhibitor system is skillfully formulated to protect common metals found in industrial equipment, including brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, and aluminum. To address potential foaming during service, an antifoam agent is incorporated into the formulation, supporting stable operation and consistent heat transfer performance.
JEFFCOOL® P150 is a proven alternative to brine or uninhibited glycol/water solutions, offering dependable corrosion prevention and enhanced system protection. The corrosion inhibitor package is designed to protect cast iron, steel, copper, and brass at temperatures up to 300°F, and aluminum at temperatures up to 190°F. JEFFCOOL® P150 meets the corrosion performance limits of ASTM D3306 and passes the ASTM D1384 corrosion test.

JEFFCOOL® P150N coolant is highly recommended as a coolant for stationary engines in diverse applications, such as natural gas processing, irrigation, power generating systems, oilfield operations, and portable air compressors. Specially formulated, it provides essential protection for cylinder liners against cavitation corrosion.
This coolant ensures comprehensive protection for cooling systems throughout the year, preventing freezing in winter, overheating in summer, and corrosion in all seasons. However, it is not recommended for use in engines containing aluminum cylinder heads.

Sample test kits are free of charge and available upon request to Third Coast customers who purchase JEFFCOOL® products.
