JEFFCOOL® E100
JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant is an inhibited ethylene glycol fluid used as an industrial cooling and heat transfer applications. Its inhibitor system provides protection for various metals such as brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, and aluminum commonly found in industrial systems.
To enhance its performance, a foam inhibitor is included, effectively minimizing foaming during service – giving it a longer service life than pure ethylene glycol.
JEFFCOOL® E100 serves to safeguard equipment, lower maintenance costs, and improve heat transfer efficiency. It finds applications in line heaters, snow melting and refrigeration systems, thermal energy storage, as well as heating, and cooling systems.
JEFFCOOL® E100 Series Ethylene Glycol based products are available in many dilution formulas. JEFFCOOL®E100 series is the concentrate version while the product names align with the dilution percentage.
- JEFFCOOL® E103 – 30% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E104 – 40% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E105 – 50% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E106 – 60% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E100 – 100% concentrate
As a leading chemical distributor, Third Coast Chemicals ensures that your operations benefit from the superior capabilities of JEFFCOOL® E100.
JEFFCOOL® E100 INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
Line Heaters
JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant is recommended as a heat transfer fluid for line heaters. A line heater circulates a heated fluid around a pipe to raise the temperature of the pipe contents in order to control reactions or ease pumping operations.
Snow-Melting and Refrigeration Systems
JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant is recommended as a heat transfer fluid for snow-melting systems for loading ramps, walkways, highways and airfield runways, and as a coolant in ice rinks and air conditioning systems.
Thermal Energy Storage, Heating and Cooling Systems
JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant is recommended as a heat transfer fluid in combination heating and cooling systems for large buildings. The excellent corrosion protection afforded by JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant prolongs the life of the piping in these systems.
JEFFCOOL® E100 coolant is also an excellent heat transfer medium for solar energy collection systems.

DESCRIPTION & USAGE
JEFFCOOL® E100N cavitation corrosion coolant is specifically recommended for use as a coolant in Heavy Duty Stationary Engines operating in challenging applications such as natural gas processing, irrigation, power generating systems, oilfield operations, and portable air compressors.
This specialized formulation ensures optimal protection against cavitation corrosion, making JEFFCOOL® E100N the preferred coolant solution for those seeking reliability and longevity in heavy-duty stationary engine systems.
Distinguishing JEFFCOOL® E100N from JEFFCOOL® E100:
Both JEFFCOOL® E100 and JEFFCOOL® E100N share the foundational characteristics of being inhibited ethylene glycol coolants. However, they are formulated with specific applications in mind. While JEFFCOOL® E100 caters to general industrial coolant and heat transfer needs, JEFFCOOL® E100N takes center stage as a heavy-duty stationary engine coolant.
The emphasis on robust performance in stationary engine applications sets JEFFCOOL® E100N apart, offering proven corrosion prevention, comparable heat transfer to brine solutions, lower maintenance costs, improved heat transfer, and an extended service life compared to pure ethylene glycol. This makes JEFFCOOL® E100N the optimal choice for those seeking reliable coolant solutions specifically designed for heavy-duty industrial engines.
JEFFCOOL® E100N is specially formulated to provide protection of cylinder liners from cavitation corrosion. JEFFCOOL® E100N coolant protects the cooling systems from freezing in winter, overheating in summer and corrosion in all seasons. The reduction in internal corrosion significantly improves heat transfer and lowers overall maintenance costs. Use in engines containing aluminum cylinder heads should be avoided.
JEFFCOOL® E100N is fully compatible with other water/glycol products designed for similar applications.
- JEFFCOOL® E103N – 30% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E104N – 40% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E105N – 50% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E106N – 60% concentrate
- JEFFCOOL® E100N – 100% concentrate
